It's too soon to know for sure when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 will be released on blu-ray and DVD or to know what will be included when the release does come. After all, the movie has just been released at the theatres. However, I know some of you who are not going to see this movie at the theatre for one reason or another or who just want to add this latest installment in the Harry Potter franchise to their collection, are anxious.
What is known, however, is that Warner Brothers doesn't have a lot of time to play with on this release because of the upcoming release of the second part of the Deathly Hallows this summer.
Best guesses then of when the blu-ray and DVD will be released, include April or May of 2011. That allows time for the movie to run its course at the theatre and for the discs to sell in advance of the second movie release. (Some experts are betting on a strong preview of the second movie being included with the release of the disc for the first movie.)
To know for sure, however, you can sign up with Amazon to be notified when the blu-ray or DVD do become available.
